How can technology be used to find sustainable, ethical, and creative solutions in order to address and solve social issues of our time?
There is currently a vibrant movement of social-tech entrepreneurs that use emerging technologies such as Extended Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics to tackle social problems. This workshop will bring together people and companies driving the use of technology and the digital world to enhance people’s lives.

PURPOSE
The goal is to discuss how emerging technologies could improve our society, for instance in the areas of health and well-being, as well as support the work of charity organizations and companies working on projects for social good.
OUTCOME
A key outcome of this workshop is to connect people and to define topics such as ethics and sustainability in relation to emerging technologies. The discussions of this workshop are meant to become the foundation for future projects and ethical guidelines to improve corporate responsibility and digital solutions with social impact.

*Christian Stiegler*
Christian Stiegler is the Director of Guiding Light – Center for Ethics and Sustainable Technologies, and an internationally renowned expert on immersive media and emerging technologies. His work is at the forefront of the global “Tech for Good” movement to create a responsible, ethical, and sustainable technological future. Upcoming publications include „The 360° Gaze: Immersions in Media, Society, and Culture“ (MIT Press, 2021).
*Vera Borrmann*
Vera is a philosopher, embodiment researcher & practicioner, speaker and trainer based in Vienna. Her main interest and research quest is the body and individual experienced perception.
She explored various body theory approaches and has been working on topics like Human Enhancement or Body Modification at the Institute for Technology Assessment and Systemsanalysis (KIT) in Karlsruhe and the Institute for Technology Assessment (OEAW) in Vienna.
2018, she developed and created her own approach on embodiment & perception, founded the platform MIYOMI and is a teacher, speaker and facilitator in various workshop, training and panel contexts.
